Make data handling part of the exercise
Copilot training needs to fit the organisation’s existing information-handling rules. Learners should know which account they are using, what content they may provide and who can review the resulting work.
An illustrative practice exercise
An illustrative exercise offers a public policy, a fictional personnel note and a restricted internal file. Participants identify which materials are approved for the specific training environment before writing any prompt.
- Confirm the account and application with IT.
- Replace personal or confidential details with safe examples.
- Practise escalating an access or sharing uncertainty.
Check the result
A successful exercise includes choosing not to use a document when its approval is unclear. Training is not a security audit, permission review or legal assurance.
Confirm the right training scope
Ask your IT or security owner to define approved materials and access boundaries. We can discuss training within those boundaries; tenant administration and security remediation require separate qualified support.
