Compare Copilot experiences by the data and application involved
The word Copilot can refer to more than one experience. For training, identify whether the task uses a chat interface, an application such as Word or Excel, or information available through the work account. Ask what sources the tool can access in the actual licensed environment.
Compare the practical requirements
Microsoft’s documentation distinguishes Copilot Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot capabilities and management requirements. Product packaging changes, so confirm the current licence and feature with your administrator rather than relying on an old comparison table. The Power Concepts public courses are application-specific and require the relevant access.
Work through an example
For a practice decision, compare drafting a generic meeting agenda with summarising an approved work document inside its application. The second task introduces source access, permissions and verification requirements that the first may not. The training scope should identify these differences explicitly.
Decide what to book or request
Before booking, record the intended task, application, source material and available account capability. Use the published course outline to select the closest application course. A broad chat workshop or organisation-wide adoption programme should be discussed separately instead of assumed to be included.
