Use Copilot in Excel with independent checks
The course covers prompts, data summaries, formula assistance, charts, PivotTables and other AI-assisted workbook tasks. Learners still need to understand the source data and judge whether a proposed result is valid.
For practice, use a small dataset with a manually verified total. Compare generated calculations and summaries with that known result before trying a larger workbook. Confirm the required Excel and Copilot access in advance, including any organisation-specific restrictions on data use.

Use a small table with a known total and ask for a summary or chart. Compare the result with the source rows, period and filters. Then change the prompt to state the intended comparison more precisely and inspect whether the output improves.
