Use transparent arithmetic

A simple time-value estimate is: learners × time saved per period × number of periods × an agreed hourly value. Subtract the full cost of training and implementation before describing a net value. Keep the units consistent; minutes must be converted to hours before multiplying by an hourly figure.

Time released is not automatically cash saved. The estimate may represent capacity for other work rather than a reduced expense. State which interpretation applies and avoid a guaranteed return.

Make room for uncertainty

Build a conservative scenario as well as an expected one. Ask what happens if only some learners adopt the new method, if the process changes or if additional practice is needed. Prefer a small measured example to an unsupported percentage improvement.

Choose training that matches the task

Link the proposed course objectives to the baseline work. A general advanced course may be less suitable than a specific class on the tool being used. Compare public and private training before selecting the format.

Power Concepts can discuss the scope through corporate training. After delivery, use the results measurement guide to test what changed rather than treating attendance as proof of a business outcome.
