Training proposal outline

1. Business task and current problem

Describe the work people need to perform, who performs it and what currently causes difficulty. Include two or three examples such as preparing a recurring report, managing document revisions or coordinating follow-ups. State the desired change in observable terms.

2. Learners and starting skills

Record the number of participants, roles, locations and experience. Explain whether they can be grouped by starting ability or whether one mixed group is necessary. Identify accessibility or scheduling needs that affect delivery.

3. Software and working environment

List the exact applications, versions, accounts and available permissions. Note restrictions on macros, shared files, Copilot access or outside connections where relevant. Agree how examples will be supplied and approved without unnecessary confidential information.

4. Proposed scope and delivery

Ask for learning objectives, topics, exclusions, session length, delivery format and an explanation of how participants will practise. Identify the person who can approve changes to the scope.

5. Fees and terms

Ask the provider to state the currency, taxes, preparation costs, travel if applicable, included materials and any optional follow-up. Confirm payment, cancellation, rescheduling and proposal-validity terms in the provider’s actual agreement.

6. Evidence and follow-up

Define a practical task participants should be able to complete. Record how progress will be checked, who will support practice and when the team will review results. Request relevant instructor experience and approved examples of similar work.

Use the outline in a conversation

The document should make uncertainties visible rather than hide them behind an impressive topic list. A provider may recommend a public course, separate levels or a narrower first session. Compare that reasoning against the work you described.

Discuss a training proposal with Power Concepts or use the provider comparison checklist. This outline helps scope a purchase; the agreed commercial terms belong in the actual proposal and contract.
