Microsoft 365 Shortcuts
Shortcuts that work everywhere in Microsoft 365, plus the handful of app-specific ones worth the memory. Filter the table or print it.
The shortcuts in the first group work in every Microsoft 365 application, which makes them the best return on memory of anything on this site — learn them once and they apply in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams.
The Word group is the one people underuse. Ctrl+Alt+1 applies Heading 1, and applying headings as styles rather than by making text big and bold is the single thing that makes a long document behave — it is what the navigation pane and the table of contents are built from.
Want the skill rather than the keystroke? The Office 365 courses cover this material with an instructor, and the Office 365 guides cover it in writing, free.
