A draft that reads well can still need formatting, references, revisions or checks against the source material. Copilot training does not replace the underlying document skills needed to manage that work.

What the Copilot course adds

The published Copilot in Word outline covers generating drafts, summarising and rewriting, research using available files and online sources, editing, structure and prompting. It also includes reviewing and validating generated content. It is listed as a two-hour hands-on course.

All participants must already have Copilot access for the application. Confirm this through your organisation before booking; a general AI chat account does not by itself establish the required access inside Word. Microsoft documents the current Microsoft 365 Copilot requirements.

Decide what should come first

If page layout, tables or collaborative revisions are the main obstacle, review the relevant Word outline first. If those skills are comfortable and drafting or rewriting consumes time, compare the Copilot course. For a team with both needs, describe the document workflow when discussing corporate training so the scope can reflect the actual work.
