What each starting point provides
Bookkeeping Fundamentals uses manual methods to explain double-entry accounting, ledgers, trial balances, reporting and reconciliation. The listed duration is eight hours. It is a course to compare when the meaning of a transaction or report is the learning gap.
Sage Accounting Part 1 is listed as twelve hours. It introduces the Sage 50 interface, company setup, customers, vendors, transactions, reports, invoicing, payments and reconciliation. Part 2 is also twelve hours and covers payroll, inventory, year-end reporting, budgets and project tracking.
Check the exact product
Before booking, tell the trainer the Sage product, edition and country configuration on your computer. Do not treat the words “Sage Accounting” in a booking title as confirmation that a browser-based Sage product uses the same course or interface as Sage 50.
If you understand bookkeeping but are moving to Sage 50 from another system, review Part 1 against the tasks you need to learn. If both the principles and the software are unfamiliar, discuss whether Bookkeeping Fundamentals should come first. If routine Sage work is already comfortable, compare the specific topics in Part 2.
Make the training request concrete
List two or three tasks you want to perform after training, the software you have and the starting experience of each learner. That gives Power Concepts a practical basis for a recommendation. For a whole team, corporate training can be discussed around a shared process. Neither a software course nor a completion certificate replaces your organisation’s accounting review or professional advice.
