Define SharePoint end-user tasks before training
SharePoint end-user training should focus on the tasks staff are permitted to perform. Finding a file, updating a document and managing a site are different responsibilities.
An illustrative practice exercise
Use an approved demonstration library containing fictional procedures. A learner finds a document, makes a permitted update and checks the location of the current version.
- Confirm the learner’s allowed actions.
- Practise navigation and the agreed document workflow.
- Identify who owns access or publishing questions.
Check the result
Check that the exercise does not require permissions beyond the learner’s role. Do not equate a visible link with authorisation to share content externally.
Confirm the right training scope
Send the required tasks, site type and access arrangements. SharePoint-specific coverage is a scoped enquiry; site architecture, migrations and administration are not assumed public-course deliverables.
Related options: Microsoft 365 and Office 365 Training Courses; Corporate training; Excel skills assessment.

These public outlines are starting points for the skills discussed above. A role-specific example or requested workshop topic is not automatically included in every public session. Check the outline and confirm any must-have requirement before booking.
