Worked example: improving a monthly Excel report
This is an illustrative training scenario, not a customer testimonial or a report of measured client results. It shows how a buyer could define an Excel training objective and evaluate the resulting work.
An illustrative practice exercise
A fictional distributor receives three monthly sales files with inconsistent category labels. Staff repeatedly copy rows into a summary and cannot easily explain changes between months.
- Preserve the original files and document the required output.
- Practise a repeatable preparation and summary workflow suited to the learners’ level.
- Test the report with a new month and reconcile totals.
Check the result
A useful evaluation checks refresh steps, totals and whether another colleague can reproduce the method. Any time saving must be measured in the actual organisation rather than inferred from this example.
Confirm the right training scope
Compare Advanced Data Management and Expert Data Management for different reporting needs. To discuss a similar project, send a sanitised sample and the team’s starting skills; the actual workshop scope requires confirmation.
Related options: Corporate training; Excel skills assessment.
Compare the published course pathways
These public outlines are starting points for the skills discussed above. A role-specific example or requested workshop topic is not automatically included in every public session. Check the outline and confirm any must-have requirement before booking.
