Choose a sequence when both bookkeeping and QuickBooks are new

If you are new to bookkeeping, start by checking the concepts behind the software tasks. Can you explain the difference between a sale and receiving its payment, or what a reconciliation is checking? If not, compare Bookkeeping Fundamentals alongside QuickBooks Online Part 1.

Compare the practical requirements

Bookkeeping Fundamentals covers double entry, ledgers, trial balances, reporting, transactions and reconciliation. QuickBooks Part 1 applies foundational work inside the software. These are complementary outlines, but they should not be described as a mandatory bundle or an assumed package price.

Work through an example

A practice sequence can begin with fictional source documents, follow the entries into records and then reproduce the approved workflow in a demonstration company. This helps the learner understand why the software changes a balance, instead of remembering a sequence of clicks with no way to diagnose an error.

Decide what to book or request

Describe your job responsibilities and starting knowledge to Power Concepts. Ask for a suitable sequence and the required practice access. For live business decisions, use the organisation’s accounting policies and adviser; a training exercise is not authorisation to choose new accounting or tax treatment.
